How to Access Steam Screenshot Folder

Steam allows its users to take in-game screenshots. However, people often have problems when it comes to accessing the Steam screenshot folder. We’ll discuss how you can do that in this text.

Steam is a game client that can be also used for screenshots. It allows you to hit the F12 key on the keyboard within any game in order to take a screenshot. The users can archive and publish these screenshots in the user’s Steam profile for other users to see. There are instances, however, where people aren’t familiar with the procedure and often end up giving up. We’ll mention two possible ways of accessing the steam screenshot folder.

Method #1:

  1. The first thing to do is to click on the view tab in the Steam client program.
  2. Once that’s done, a pop-up window will appear with additional options.
  3. There should be a “Screenshots’’ option near the bottom of the list. Click it.
  4. After that, the Screenshot Manager will open, and it will display all screenshots that are stored on the user’s PC.
  5. In order to access the steam screenshot folder, the user needs to click on “show on disk’’ option.
  6. That will open up a specific folder that contains the taken screenshots from every game.
  7. They all have their date and time labels within the file name so the user knows which one is which.

Method #2:

An alternative way of accessing the steam screenshot folder is to navigate to it manually. When users install a steam client on their computer, it automatically creates the necessary folders that it requires to operate. Among them, of course, is a screenshot folder as well. The default path is usually C:\ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ userdata \ 760 \ remote \ screenshots. However, the path can be different because some users decide to change the installation directory.

If users don’t know their SteamID, they can locate it by following these steps.

  1. Open the Steam client and navigate to the settings tab.
  2. After that, there should be an ‘Interface’ option where you’ll find a checkbox that says “Display Steam URL address when available’’.
  3. The only thing left to do here is to check the box and close the window.

The number of the ID will appear in the user’s profile information.
