SIM Not Provisioned MM2 Error

This SIM card error is actually quite a common problem. This usually happens when you get a new cell phone and try to use your old SIM card, but it can also happen when you try to get a new SIM card with your old number. When you get this error, you’ll still be able to use your phone and most of its features, but calls and instant messaging will be disabled (except calls to 911).

There are a few things that can cause this error to appear, and they are usually related to your SIM card. In most cases, the SIM card is not activated or it might be suspended by the service provider for whatever reason.

If you are using a new SIM card you have never used before, than the cause of this error is most likely the fact that you haven’t activated your SIM card yet. However, the “SIM not provisioned MM#2” error can also appear with SIM cards that were working properly beforehand. In this case, your SIM has probably been deactivated by your service provider for whatever reason. It might be because it’s too old, or you have asked for a new one.

On the other hand, it’s also possible that your cell phone is failing to register your SIM card. This is what you can do to fix this problem:

Fix #1: Connect Your SIM Card Properly

It’s possible that the “SIM not provisioned MM#2” error has appeared just because your SIM card isn’t properly connected to your cell phone. This can happen when you change SIM cards, but it’s also possible that your SIM card has moved a little bit even if you haven’t opened your phone.

If this is the cause of your problem, you’ll simply need to turn off your phone, take the SIM card out, and put it back in. The location of the SIM card holder will depend on the model of your phone, so check the manual if you are not sure. When you are done, just turn on your phone again and check if the problem is fixed.

Fix #2: Contact the Service Provider

If you still get the error after you have tried the fix #1 than your SIM card has most likely been deactivated. Your service provider is the only one that can solve the problem. Therefore, the only solution for this problem is to contact the customer service of your service provider. They will most likely be able to activate your SIM card again. If this is not possible, they will probably give you a new SIM card or find another solution for the problem.
